Residents in Kenya seeking UK visas can now enjoy easier access to application services following the launch of Premium Application Centers in Mombasa and Eldoret by VFS Global.
The new centers eliminate the need for applicants to travel to Nairobi, offering a more convenient option for submitting visa applications and enrolling biometrics closer to home.
The expansion comes amid growing demand for travel to the United Kingdom, with VFS Global noting that the new facilities will complement the existing Visa Application Centre in Nairobi, which has been operational since October 2024.
Speaking during the announcement, Adin Jaisinghani, Regional Head for East and South Africa at VFS Global, said the move is aimed at improving accessibility and enhancing customer experience.
“We are pleased to expand access to UK visa services in Kenya through our Premium Application Centers in Eldoret and Mombasa, providing customers the convenience of applying closer to home,” he said.
Applicants using the Mombasa center will benefit from flexible service options, as the facility operates as a Standard Visa Application Centre every Tuesday and as a Premium Application Centre every Friday.
Premium applicants will also access additional services such as document upload assistance, application status notifications, and courier return of processed documents.
The new centers are part of VFS Global’s broader strategy to expand its footprint across Africa and meet increasing travel demand, while maintaining high service standards.
VFS Global has been a partner to UK Visas and Immigration since 2003 and was awarded a contract in 2023 to provide UK visa services in 142 countries worldwide, up from 58 countries previously.
The Eldoret center is located at Eka Hotel, Rupa’s Mall along Uganda Road, while the Mombasa center is situated on the 8th Floor of Imaara The New Address on Dedan Kimathi Avenue in Kizingo.
Both centers operate between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, offering applicants more flexibility and convenience when planning their travel documentation.
