LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — North London was painted red and white on Tuesday night as thousands of jubilant Arsenal supporters poured into the streets to celebrate the club’s first Premier League title in 22 years.

The celebrations erupted moments after Manchester City’s 1-1 draw against Bournemouth officially confirmed Arsenal as champions of England, ending a title drought stretching back to the legendary 2003/04 “Invincibles” era.

Scenes of jubilation unfolded simultaneously inside Arsenal’s dressing room, at the club’s London Colney training ground, and across Islington as emotional fans marked a historic night for the North London club.

Supporters flooded areas surrounding the Emirates Stadium, waving flags, setting off red flares, and chanting manager Mikel Arteta’s name as pubs and streets turned into spontaneous celebration grounds.

Inside Arsenal’s first-team headquarters, players gathered to watch the closing moments of Manchester City’s match on giant screens, with club footage capturing the emotional moment Bournemouth’s final whistle blew.

Captain Martin Ødegaard was seen leading celebrations as champagne bottles were popped across the dressing room, while Bukayo Saka and teammates joined in emotional scenes after years of narrowly missing out on the title.

Manager Mikel Arteta, who masterminded Arsenal’s remarkable campaign, shared an emotional embrace with sporting director Edu Gaspar before being lifted into the air by members of his coaching staff.

January signing Viktor Gyökeres and Kai Havertz, whose recent goals proved decisive in the title run-in, were among players spotted dancing and singing club anthem North London Forever during the celebrations.

Outside the Emirates Stadium, supporters packed the streets of Islington, with the famous Tollington pub becoming a major hub for jubilant fans who spilled onto surrounding roads chanting victory songs late into the night.

Traffic along Holloway Road and nearby routes ground to a halt as thousands gathered to celebrate what many supporters described as a long-awaited moment after years of disappointment.

For older Arsenal supporters who witnessed the club’s 2004 title triumph, the celebrations carried emotional significance, while younger fans experienced their first-ever Premier League title victory.

Despite the spontaneous street parties, Arsenal’s official trophy presentation is scheduled for Sunday, May 24, following their final Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium.

Plans are also underway for a major victory parade through Islington as Mikel Arteta’s side prepare to celebrate one of the most memorable seasons in the club’s modern history while also pursuing UEFA Champions League glory later this month.
