The Mombasa County Government has announced 3,000 temporary job opportunities for residents under a programme aimed at preventing floods, clearing drainage systems and addressing environmental challenges.
The jobs have been distributed equally between the Department of Transport and Infrastructure and the Department of Environment, with each department receiving 1,500 positions.
Successful applicants will be engaged for three months, with recruitment expected to take place in phases depending on the implementation needs of the programme.
The initiative is part of the county government’s efforts to improve drainage and environmental conditions while creating temporary employment opportunities for residents.
Applicants are required to submit their applications through the Mombasa County Public Service Board recruitment portal and attach their CVs, certified copies of relevant certificates, National Identity Card or passport, and any other required documents.
The county has encouraged youth, women, persons with disabilities and members of marginalised communities to apply for the available positions.
The Public Service Board has warned that the application process is free of charge and that it does not use agents to recruit workers.
Applicants have also been cautioned against attempting to influence the recruitment process, with the Board warning that any form of canvassing could lead to automatic disqualification.
