MOMBASA — Community leaders, senior police officers, and county security officials in Mombasa held a joint security meeting on Tuesday at the Mombasa Police Headquarters to discuss measures aimed at enhancing safety ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking during the meeting, AlAmin Somo, Deputy Chairperson of the Mombasa Community Group, emphasized the importance of ensuring residents can observe Ramadan in a safe and secure environment.
“As we approach Ramadan, we want to assure residents that they will be free and safe in their environment. Security is our priority,” Somo said.
He announced the launch of a Telegram communication platform for residents, along with an official group that will relay verified information on security incidents across the county.
