Winnie Odinga has firmly dismissed speculation about her political future, stating that she remains fully committed to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Speaking during a Nairobi ODM delegates meeting held on March 17 led by Chairperson George Aladwa, the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP emphasized that the party remains her political home.
“Let me be clear, I am not leaving. This is home. This is the party built on sacrifice, resilience and the dreams of millions,” she stated.
Winnie also accepted her endorsement by Nairobi delegates to represent the region in the party’s Central Committee, noting that the role goes beyond leadership and is about service.
“I humbly accept your endorsement… this is not just a position, it is a duty to amplify the voice of Nairobians,” she added.
Delegates further proposed her for the position of Deputy Party Leader ahead of the upcoming ODM National Delegates Conference (NDC) scheduled for March 27 in Nairobi.
The endorsement follows earlier resolutions made during a National Executive Committee meeting in Mombasa, chaired by party leader Oburu Oginga.
Winnie reiterated her commitment to championing the interests of youth, women, and hustlers, positioning herself as a key voice within the party’s future leadership.
