Murang’a County has been ranked the top-performing county government in Kenya in job creation, adoption of automated systems, and efficient delivery of e-government services, according to a new assessment by the Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat.
Murang’a scored an impressive 98.3 percent, emerging ahead of Nakuru (87.3%), Kiambu (83.9%), Kisumu (81.2%), and Meru (80.3%).
The evaluation assessed county efforts in employment creation, ease and speed of service delivery including online services levels of digitalization and system security, as well as the efficiency of revenue collection systems.
The results highlight Murang’a County’s strong investment in digital transformation and innovation, which has significantly improved public service delivery and contributed to economic growth at the county level.
