NAIROBI, Kenya — Lenana School has been closed indefinitely following a wave of student unrest that broke out during evening preparation sessions, prompting the administration to suspend all learning activities and send students home.
In an urgent notice issued early this morning, the school’s Board of Management (BOM) and administration instructed parents and guardians to immediately report to the institution and collect their children as the school compound was cleared.
The decision follows reported disturbances during evening study time, commonly referred to as prep, where students are said to have exhibited restlessness that escalated into unrest within the school.
Although full details surrounding the incident have not been officially disclosed, the administration confirmed that normal learning activities have been suspended indefinitely pending further review of the situation and restoration of order.
