Kenya’s national e-sports team made a powerful statement in the opening round of the FIFAe Nations League 2026, winning four out of five matches to boost their chances of qualification.
Representing the country under the Football Kenya Federation and the Esports Kenya Federation, the Kenyan side showcased impressive form against top continental opponents in Group B.
Kenya began their campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over Chad, before continuing their dominance with another 3-0 win against Tanzania. They extended their fine run by defeating Nigeria 3-0, underlining their strength in the group.
The team also secured a crucial 3-1 win over Mauritius, further cementing their position among the top contenders in the group standings.
However, Kenya’s only setback came against Senegal, where they suffered a 4-0 defeat in a tough encounter.
Despite the loss, Kenya’s overall performance places them in a strong qualifying position, having collected maximum points from four matches. Their dominant displays, particularly the three consecutive 3-0 victories, highlight their growing presence in international e-sports competition.
With more matches still to come, Kenya will be aiming to maintain their momentum and secure progression to the next stage of the FIFAe Nations League.
The impressive start signals Kenya’s rising status in global e-football, as the team continues to make strides on the international stage.
