Hassan Joho has reaffirmed the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM)’s commitment to field candidates in all elective positions ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Speaking during Eid al-Fitr celebrations in Mombasa County, Joho joined Muslim faithful for prayers at the Ummu Kulthum Mosque.

Addressing congregants after the prayers, the Cabinet Secretary emphasized that ODM is focused on building a strong national presence across all leadership levels.

“I wish to affirm that ODM will field candidates in all leadership positions. At the moment, the focus is on the presidency, but it is equally important for the party to have candidates in all other seats,” Joho stated.

He further underscored the need for robust campaigns to secure victory across the board.

“We must also put in maximum effort in campaigning to ensure victory for our candidates, myself included,” he added.

Joho noted that while much of the current political discourse revolves around the presidential race, equal attention must be given to other elective positions to strengthen the party’s overall influence.

His remarks come at a time when political parties are intensifying preparations and strategies ahead of the next general election, positioning themselves for a competitive national contest.
