LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — Arsenal Football Club have officially been crowned 2025/26 Premier League champions, ending a painful 22-year wait for England’s top-flight title and marking a historic milestone under manager Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners sealed the league crown on Tuesday night after closest challengers Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth, leaving Arsenal with an unassailable four-point lead at the top of the table with just one match remaining.

The title triumph marks Arsenal’s first Premier League championship since the iconic 2003/04 “Invincibles” season, when the North London club went unbeaten throughout the campaign.

Arsenal moved within touching distance of the title on Monday after securing a narrow 1-0 victory over Burnley at the Emirates Stadium, courtesy of a decisive strike from Kai Havertz. The crucial win followed a gritty 1-0 away triumph against West Ham and an emphatic 3-0 victory over Fulham earlier in the month.

Arteta’s side has been widely praised for its consistency, discipline, and tactical maturity throughout the season, qualities that ultimately helped them edge out defending champions Manchester City in one of the closest title races in recent years.

The campaign has also been remarkable for Arsenal’s discipline, with the club reportedly completing the entire Premier League season without receiving a red card or conceding a penalty — a rare feat in modern football.

The historic season also saw academy graduate Max Dowman make history as the youngest player ever to receive a Premier League winner’s medal, underlining the club’s growing emphasis on youth development.

Celebrations have already erupted across North London, but Arsenal have little time to relax as attention quickly shifts to European glory.

Following Sunday’s final Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace — where the official trophy presentation is expected to take place — Arsenal will travel to Budapest for the UEFA Champions League Final against Paris Saint-Germain on May 30.

Victory in Europe would see Arteta’s men complete a historic domestic and continental double, cementing this season as one of the greatest in Arsenal’s modern history.
