Taita Taveta Governor H.E. Dr. Andrew Mwadime, EGH, has held a high-level consultative engagement with President William Samoei Ruto aimed at strengthening collaboration between the national and county governments to accelerate development in Taita Taveta County.
Governor Mwadime said the discussions focused on unlocking opportunities across key sectors, including road networks, mining, agriculture, water, infrastructure, health, and industrial development, to ensure residents benefit meaningfully from national government programs and investments.
“Good politics is not about party lines; it is about transforming lives,” Governor Mwadime said. “It is about creating jobs for our youth, expanding markets for our farmers, adding value to our minerals, and restoring dignity to our communities.”
The governor emphasized that closer cooperation with the national government will enable Taita Taveta County to fully realize its development potential and enjoy the dividends of independence through inclusive growth and shared prosperity.
