Bidco United and Mara Sugar FC played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Wang’uru Stadium in sportpesa League clash that kept fans on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.
Bidco United struck first through Herman Ngala, who found the back of the net from the spot to give his side an early advantage. The match quickly turned into a tightly contested battle as Mara Sugar responded strongly. Daniel Wafula leveled matters for the visitors before the game continued to swing from end to end.
Bidco regained their lead when Samuel scored to restore hope for the hosts, but Mara Sugar refused to back down. Kevin Mwavali eventually equalized, ensuring the visitors walked away with a valuable point.
The result means the spoils were shared in Mwea after a competitive encounter that saw both sides create chances and show determination throughout the match.
For Bidco United, the draw does little to ease their relegation worries. The Thika-based side remains deep in the relegation battle and currently sits second from bottom on the league table with 17 points. With the season entering a crucial stage, every point will be vital if they are to escape the drop zone.
Mara Sugar, on the other hand, will take positives from earning a point away from home in a tough fixture.
Bidco United will now shift focus to their upcoming matches as they fight to climb out of the relegation zone, while Mara Sugar continues their push to finish the season strongly.
