Leaders affiliated with the Linda Mwananchi movement in Bungoma County, led by Bumula Member of Parliament Jack Wamboka, have held a strategic meeting with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna ahead of a series of political rallies scheduled in Trans Nzoia County.

The meeting, held on Friday, October 16, brought together Sifuna, Wamboka and other political leaders and aspirants associated with the movement to discuss issues affecting ordinary Kenyans and the country’s political future.

According to an update shared by Wamboka on his X account, the engagement focused on key national issues and preparations for the movement’s grassroots mobilisation activities.

The meeting came ahead of the team’s planned political tour of Trans Nzoia County, where the leaders are expected to address residents in several locations as they seek to strengthen the movement’s grassroots support.

The itinerary includes rallies in Moi’s Bridge, Kitale town and Kiminini market, providing the leaders with an opportunity to engage residents and popularise the movement’s agenda.

The delegation is expected to be hosted by Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya and will include Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino and Siaya Governor James Orengo, alongside other leaders.

The tour comes as the Linda Mwananchi movement intensifies its political activities ahead of the 2027 General Election, amid growing efforts by various political formations to consolidate support across the country.

Sifuna has emerged as one of the movement’s prominent figures as political discussions and realignments continue ahead of the next general election.
