Gideon Maitha Mung’aro has officially launched the tarmacking of the Mjanaheri–Ngomeni Road in Magarini Constituency, marking a key infrastructure milestone for the county.

According to a statement on his official Facebook page, Governor Mung’aro confirmed that the project is jointly funded by the Government of Italy and the National Government of Kenya.

“Today, I am proud to announce that the road is finally being tarmacked — a promise delivered through collaboration with the Government of Kenya under H.E. William Samoei Ruto and support from the Italian Government. This milestone will boost connectivity, grow local economies, and accelerate development in Ngomeni and the wider Kilifi County,” Mung’aro said.

He added that the tarmacking will significantly reduce travel times for residents and improve access to key services, while enhancing economic activity in Magarini Constituency and across Kilifi County.

The project is expected to transform local transportation, stimulate business growth, and provide long-term benefits for the community.
