The Kenyan Christian community is mourning the sudden death of Reverend Pamela Dreda Oyola, a long-serving pastor at Deliverance Church International – Umoja (DCIU), who passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

The news of her death was confirmed by the church leadership and was first announced publicly by Hope TV Kenya, sending shockwaves through the congregation and believers across the country.

Popularly known as “Pastor Pam” and affectionately referred to by many as “God’s girl,” Reverend Oyola was widely respected for her passionate preaching, unwavering faith and dedication to ministry. She served as the overseer of the Youth and Teens (TMG) Ministry at Deliverance Church Umoja, where she mentored and nurtured hundreds of young people in their spiritual journey.

Church members described her as a fearless preacher who boldly proclaimed the gospel while remaining approachable and compassionate to those she served. Her ministry focused on inspiring young people to live purposeful Christian lives rooted in faith and integrity.

In a statement released by Deliverance Church International – Umoja, the church paid tribute to Reverend Oyola’s life of service, describing her as a faithful servant of God whose impact would continue to be felt for generations.

“As our hearts grieve and many questions fill our minds while we process this shocking loss, we hold firmly to the unchanging truth that God is good. Pastor Pam’s life was a powerful testimony of unwavering faith, selfless and sacrificial service, and a deep love for God and for people,” the church said.

The church further noted that Reverend Oyola dedicated her life to advancing God’s work through discipleship, evangelism and mentorship, particularly among young people, many of whom credit her with transforming their lives through her guidance and encouragement.

Tributes have continued to pour in from fellow clergy, church members and Christian leaders across Kenya, with many remembering her as a devoted minister whose humility, wisdom and commitment to God’s calling inspired countless believers.

Several members of the congregation shared messages on social media, describing her as a spiritual mother, mentor and friend whose teachings strengthened their faith during difficult moments.

Although the church has confirmed her passing, it has not publicly disclosed the cause of death. Funeral arrangements and memorial service details are expected to be communicated by the family and church leadership in the coming days.

As Deliverance Church International – Umoja mourns one of its most dedicated pastors, congregants have been urged to continue praying for Reverend Oyola’s family, friends and the church community as they come to terms with the loss of a respected servant of God.
